Super popular dim sum spot, so get there early to skip the long wait. They use an SMS system to let you know when your table’s ready, which is handy. The food’s all delicious with generous portions, and the staff are friendly. The egg sauce fried hor fun was the star of the day. Can’t wait to come back!
Since I lived in Leeming since 1986 the location has evolved many times, a fruiterer, real estate agent and then a doctor surgery (dr de Souza and team) and finally an original Emperor Kitchen with its traditional Chinese restaurant the owner was young couple who cook for a fee whenever I brought my own crabs (the wife then open Emma's Seafood Restaurant in Vic Park). Emperor then went to modernise the decor when they took over (a Shanghainese owner) and its the best for dim sum lunch and even I can't find anything better in Melbourne and also my fav is Deep Fried Chicken Vinegar Sauce and since I relocated to Melbourne and every time I went for a visit I always order it and ITS STILL THE BEST EVEN MELBOURNE CANNOT MATCH EMPEROR KITCHEN! Keep it up guys and will pop in again whenever I come to Perth.
The food was great except they didn't give enough lemon sauce for the lemon chicken there's nowhere near enough. I do like the fact that they use recyclable paper containers which I've never seen before and I think they're a great idea because they're extremely tight and will not leak or crack. It's a tiny bit overpriced compared to standard Chinese food so it would be good to get lots of lemon chicken sauce for that kind of price. I was getting take away and it was getting quite busy.
I booked a 50th birthday here, from the first phone call weeks before to book, to the end of the event, the service was impeccable. On the night every staff member was attentive, organized and so friendly. The food came out straight away, hot and absolutely delicious. One of the people that attended the birthday, had a medical episode at the restaurant (no fault of the restaurant) that required an ambulance to attend and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, even following up the week after to see how the person was. Will definitely be back and certainly highly recommend.
Couldn't have found a better place for our first Yum cha experience! Amazing variety of food and such generous juicy tasty fillings!
One of our favourite places to come when they started. Definitely better with their dim sums from their neighbour Chin’s noodle house. Recently due to rising cost of inflation, their prices has sky rocketed as well. I fully understand that prices are increasing, but their rate of increase is unbelievable at around 70 - 90% per item. It will be a little difficult for me to go back as often. I suppose they need the additional profits to fund their rapid expansion as well as their children’s private school fees
Emperor's Kitchen serves up authentic Cantonese flavors in a lively atmosphere. The place is always bustling, so best to book ahead to secure a table. The food was amazing across the board. Their steamed dumplings feature well-seasoned fillings, while the roast pork had a lovely contrast of crispy exterior and tender meat. A real standout was the shrimp vermicelli - beautifully plated with rich garlic-soy flavors that complemented the shrimp flavor. Service was efficient and friendly throughout our meal. One of the best Cantonese meals we have had in the area.
